Cissy McCaa was born in Nashville, TN and grew up in Franklin, TN. where her father practiced dentistry and her mother was a full-time homemaker. At age 12, she and her brother and parents relocated to Memphis, TN, where she continued her education.She studied classical piano for 12 years and classical ballet and tap for 8 years. Her professional career began at age 16 as a vocalist with the Memphians, an 18 piece jazz band. After 2.5 years as a music education major in college, she embarked on a tour of the USA and Europe with Infinity, a variety dance band. Entertaining in various clubs, restaurants and military bases, she learned the value of being able to perform in many musical styles.In 1981, she surrendered her life and talents to Jesus Christ and began writing songs which express her faith and love for her Lord and Savior. Today, she lives with her husband of 33 years, Clifford McCaa, in Progreso, Yucatan, Mexico. Cissy and Cliff share their faith with locals and residents from all over the world with music and preaching in churches, concerts and revivals.
